PRINT STRONG, HEAT-RESISTANT METAL REPLACEMENT PARTS
Carbon fiber reinforced nylon optimized for high strength to weight ratio, stiffness, and heat resistance making it ideal for structural applications and metal replacements.
Whats the Difference?
Nylon (6/66) Carbon Fiber has the highest peak performance in all categories, it is significantly affected by moisture which will reduce both strength and modulus.
Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber is less affected by moisture and will retain more of its performance in the presence of moisture.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
How should I decide which support method to use?
If you are interested in a fast print and do not have geometric or surface quality requirements that need soluble support, then breakaway is a great choice. If your print’s geometry requires a soluble support and/or you would not like to have to breakaway the support material, then PVA and SR-30 are good options.
-
Which support types can be used when printing with the Nylon Carbon Fiber material?
With a Method printer, you can print with both breakaway and PVA supports. With a Method X printer, you can print with breakaway, SR-30, and PVA supports.
-
Which Printer(s) and extruders(s) is Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber compatible with?
Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber is compatible with the MakerBot Method, MakerBot Method X, and MakerBot Method and Method X Carbon Fiber Edition. Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber is compatible with the 1C Composite Extruder.
